Let’s face it: time is the one thing every middle school science teacher wishes they had more of. Between prepping lessons, keeping students engaged, and managing classroom chaos, it can feel like there’s never enough of it to go around. I faced these same problems too, which is why I now rely on a handful of resources that make my life easier and my classroom run smoother. 

Here are five done-for-you resources that have been absolute game-changers for me—and I think they’ll be for you, too!

1. Warm-Ups Done-for-you for the Entire School Year

One of the smartest moves I made in my classroom was introducing daily warm-ups. They immediately calm the hallway frenzy and give students a task the moment they walk in. Plus, they double as a quick check-in on what they’ve retained from previous lessons.

But let me be real with you—when I first started using warm-ups, I was scrambling. Every morning, I’d go into a mini panic five minutes before class started, frantically trying to think of a warm-up question. My own fault, yes, but it was still stressful! 

I loved everything about warm-ups, except my lack of planning in advance. So, I decided to create Middle School Science Review Warm-Ups  for the entire school year to save me from the scramble.

Now it’s all done and I’m so relieved that I don’t have to worry about them each morning! These spiral review warm-ups are a lifesaver. Another done-for-you resource that you need to try is Interactive Science Notebooks! These are near and dear to my heart. I have been using these in my classroom since my very first year of teaching. They might seem a little overwhelming to start, but I promise they’re worth the effort! They’ve made such a huge impact in my classroom, and once I started using them, I never looked back.
