<ins>Claim, Evidence, Reasoning (CER) Science Templates:</ins> This claim, evidence, reasoning resource is perfect for in person or distance learning in a virtual classroom. Students can apply the CER method by exploring new science topics in any science class including Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry and more!

<ins>Scientific Method Lab Report Templates:</ins> Are you tired of creating a lab report for every lab or experiment you complete with your students? This generic scientific method template works with almost any science lab as a report that allows students to follow the steps of a science experiment, gather data and present conclusions. Students can even use this for distance learning with online simulations, videos, science interactive notebooks (digital or print) or as teachers perform live lab demonstrations virtually!

<ins>Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) Science Templates:</ins> Predict, observe, explain is a perfect method to use when using demonstrations, videos or simulations with your students to keep them engaged throughout a science lesson as they spark curiosity. This resource can be used for distance learning or in person! Students follow along with the teacher as they make predictions (hypotheses) about what they expect to happen, make observations and then explain the phenomena. This can be used as a opener to a new concept or lesson, an exit ticket or for a science interactive notebooks (digital or print) activity!

Packed with questions for Earth/Space Science, Life Science and Physical Science that will have you covered for the ENTIRE school year! Google Slides versions are also included for online learning!

These spiral review middle school science warm ups are perfect for you if:

You teach an integrated science (Earth/Space, Life Science and Physical science) class and want to be able to review topics briefly throughout the year.

You teach a class that will have a science standardized test that reviews Earth/Space, Life Science, Physical Science and Nature of Science concepts.

You want students to actually explain their answers instead of just answering multiple choice/true false questions.

You want your students focused on learning from the moment they walk in the door.

You want grading your warm ups to be easily graded.

You want to keep your warm ups digital.

You want your students to have a portfolio of warm-up questions so they can easily review and refer back to previously taught material.

You want a meaningful learning activity to also double as a classroom management strategy.

Each question is in short or long response format so students explain the topic and show their understanding.

Included in this resource:

45 weeks of warm-ups (225 total).
Editable slides templates

Editable student answer pages

Google slides versions of slides and answer pages to use digitally or with digital interactive science notebooks
PowerPoint Slides with the questions to project for your students
Answer key

Table of contents

There are 3 ways to use these editable warm ups/exit tickets:

1. Use them with slides as students fill out the answers on their own personal answer sheet.

2. Use the answer sheets with the questions on them without the slides. I personally have my students hole punch them each week to add into a pronged folder or binder to use as a study tool. You can even print them at 90% so students can glue them into their interactive science notebooks!

3. Use them for online learning or digitally with the Google Slides version. This is also perfect for digital interactive student notebooks.

Gallery walks are great for getting students up and moving while learning. They work like stations because students only focus on one image at time, then move on to the next at the sound of a timer.

This activity is low prep and works best in the images are printed in color and then laminated. Tape them around the room and provide the answer sheet for students to work on. It’s that easy!

How does a gallery walk work?

1.Set up stations around the room by taping them to walls or tables.

2. Divide students into small groups and assign them to stations.

3. Explain that students will have a minute or so at each station to observe the image/answer a question based on it.

4. Use a timer that goes off at the selected time to signal students to move on to the next image or station.

5. Repeat until students have visited all stations!

4. Warm Ups

2 weeks of editable warm up slides about Earth’s Spheres (geosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere). These could also be used as exit tickets! Digital or print versions are perfect for an Earth’s Systems unit in your Earth Science class with no prep! Use these as bellringers to get your students ready for the day or end the class with a ticket out the door. Google Slides versions are also included for online learning!

Each question is in short or long response format so students explain the topic and show their understanding.
