We all have those tried and true classroom tools. Here’s a round-up of my favorite lab science equipment and classroom must-haves! These are tools that have either saved me time, made my life easier, or just made teaching science more fun. I recommend grabbing some of these or adding them to your Amazon classroom wish list.

Here are some of my favorites:
Label maker: The perfect way to organize and *ahem* label all of the different lab equipment found in a science classroom.
Laminator: I use mine all the time, especially to make task cards and activities that will last year after year. Skip the line for the school laminator!
Disinfecting wipes: I avoid bringing all the classroom germs home, so this helps to keep things clean, especially after labs! Assign a student to this job. You won’t regret it.
Cordless Hot Glue Gun: If you do lots of classroom projects, this needs to be on your Amazon wish list! It makes hanging decorations, posters, and more so much easier.
LED Black Light Lightbulbs: Although not necessarily lab equipment, black lights make any lesson more engaging, especially during a light waves unit!
Shipping labels: This will be a game changer for your notebooks. Print a cover label for each student. Students just peel and stick them, and they last all year.
Pencil Sharpener: This one has lasted me a few years, which says a lot. I also love that I can sharpen colored pencils with it!
Sidewalk chalk: This might not typically come to mind when you think of lab science equipment, but when the weather is nice, it’s fun to skip the worksheet and take students outside to draw and label a diagram with chalk.
Wireless presenter: A game changer for my classroom management because it allows me to walk around the room during lessons and monitor students.
Magnetic numbers: A super simple way to display the date, even if you’re like me and don’t have that beautiful teacher handwriting.
Magnetic shelves: These strong shelves hang on my whiteboard. I store commonly used items here, like my model interactive notebook and clipboard.
Everything You Need To Know To Ace Science In One Big Fat Notebook: A great student-friendly reference book to add to your classroom library.
Electric kettle: An overlooked piece of lab equipment, especially if you need hot water fast. This kettle is great for demos and comes in handy when you forget your lunch and need to make your emergency cup of noodles!
Clipboards: Great for students who use flexible seating options or to take outside when completing a lab.
Chalk markers: It’s often the little things that get students invested in learning, and drawing a punnet square on the table is much more fun than doing it on paper!
Plastic food tray: I use these to organize lab science equipment for groups and to contain some mess during labs.
Sheet protectors: Perfect for keeping pages clean and mess free. Also can be used for makeshift whiteboards. Just slide a piece of paper inside!
LED light strip: Not only does it make for cool classroom decor, but it’s also a great resource for your light lessons, especially if you have spectroscopes.
Science stickers: Who doesn’t love stickers? They are a great student incentive, and I’ve found that these science-themed ones are pretty popular!
