Description
Students will use Claim, Evidence and Reasoning (CER) to explore various physical and chemical changes with hands-on, interactive lab stations.
All lab stations and student handout are completely editable!
Lab stations are quick and easy to set up. Each station will take students 6-8 minutes to complete. They include:
1. Creating a mini liquid density tower to observe how liquids of different densities layer.
2. Food coloring added to water.
3. Making a paper airplane.
4. Adding powdered drink mix to water.
5. Tearing marshmallows
6. Modeling clay
7. Adding vinegar and baking soda with a balloon to observe law of conservation of mass.
8. Adding an antacid tablet to water.
Content covered:
⭐ Physical properties (mass, weight, volume, density, malleability, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, solubility, magnetism, luster, viscosity)
⭐ Chemical Properties (reactivity, flammability)
⭐ Physical changes
⭐ Chemical Changes
